Note for a dinner party:

     I had such a wonderful time at your party. You are quite the host(ess) and the food was delicious.  I can’t remember when an evening passed so quickly!  Thank you so much for including me.

Note for a check or donation in your honor:

Dear ____,

     Thank you so much for your generous gift.  It was very thoughtful of you to remember me and I wanted to let you know I appreciate the kindness. For check: I’m going to (whatever your going to buy with it).  Each time I see it, I will think of you! For donation: The (cause) is such an important cause.  Thank you, again, for such a meaningful gift.

Note for a tangible gift:

Dear ____,

     I love the _____.  It is the perfect gift for me. I can’t wait to (use it, wear it, put it on display . . .).  Each time I see (or wear) it, I will think of you!  Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness!
